You may find this weird, but I am proud to be from Mississippi. It's the home of some of the most wonderful people, places and food. If you haven't visited us, come on down. We love visitors. You'll be pleasantly surprised. BTW, we have some wonderful quilt shops.

Come on Missourians or are we keeping quiet fearing we will have a population bomb when the world finds how beautiful and friendly we are?

Say what? Haven't found any good guys in Illinois.

No. Can't say that I am proud to have 1 former governor in jail, the gov that followed him on his way to jail after appeals end, and the one in office now raised taxes so high that the Gov's of neighboring states came to visit Il businesses in droves to invite them to move there (WI was one of them).
The school districts are going broke. The state employees insurance is being refused in some places because it pays so slowly. We don't have mountains, beaches or cool accents. Winter is cold and summer is hot. Nope. I don't love Illinois.

Proud of Kentucky! Like every other state, we are in the the midst of economic problems; but we are of unbridled spirit !! Known as the state of fast horses and beautiful women; beautiful horses and fast women !!

I'll second that! I love the weather and the mountains and the desert, but the politics here frustrate me to no end! I'm embarassed every time we make the national news.

My state has faults but to my way of thinking only residents are allowed to enumerate them!
