I want this design to be my next quilt.. I want to make it for a friend of mine who is going to be a military wife.. This photo is taken from my tv since I can't find a pic online of it. It is from the show "Army Wives" it is the Mercer Army Medical Center.

That will make a pretty quilt. Tell her that being an Army wife, while hard at times, is nothing like the show!

She knows... right now they are engaged and he just left for South Korea for 1 year. She understands what it is like and is really having a hard time with it. I do my best to keep her occupied by working out with me and I am giving her cooking lessions. I told her I wanted to make her and her bf a quilt. She looked like she was going to cry. The only thing she asked is that she be with to help choose the fabrics. I told her no problem.

What a wonderful thing you are doing. I'm sure she will treasure it. I love the block you want to put in the quilt.

There is nothing better and nothing worse than being an army wife :) A lot of highs and lows. I wouldn't trade it for the world though. Love the quilt idea! It is very sweet of you to keep her company while she is lonely.

She knows I am here for her anytime.. 24/7 she was just over at 3:00 AM our time so she could use my laptop with a webcam to talk to him for the first time since he left 3 weeks ago.. I quietly excused myself to play with the dog outside and let them have some time alone..

What an awesome idea. Thank you for being a support for her through this difficult time. I can't wait to see your quilt come together for her.
Please thank her for the service that her husband is giving our country!

You are a great friend to have, and have chosen to make her a lovely gift of your friendship.
