Absolutely gorgeous! I have had the paper pieces for my Sunshine rose Garden printed out of almost two years, but I am finding plenty of excuses NOT to get started on it! I think I might be a wee bit intimidated, but seeing your's finished, I might tackle it this spring!
Beautiful job!!

Thank you for yours and everyone's kind words. I would definitely advise you to go ahead with your Sunshine Rose Garden quilt it really was not that difficult and is so rewarding. If I mignt offer a little tip that I found helpful. I blocked each of the blocks prior to assembling the quilt. I have a piece of strofoam on which I drew out the finished size of the block, pinned the block extensively, sprayed with spray starch and allowed it to dry completely. If you are using red and white, please be sure to wash the red first. I did, but I know I have a bleader yet. I have not yet washed the finished quilt, but I know I will have to take extra care when I do. Thank you again to so many for your kind words.

Wow! Paper pieced? You did a great job. So many pieces I would have been out of my mind. Thanks for sharing.

Just saw your compass quilt. It's so beautiful. I have a cute compass story if you have time to read it. My great grandmother during the depression used to take her quilt blocks to church to work on. Most of the ladies did. She had no money for a machine. She got her first one in 45.Another ladie was working on a compass quilt at church and my grandmother was impressed with the pattern so she asked for a copy. She was told flat out no. So my GGmother went home drew out the pattern and pieced the block for the next week at church. I could just see her proudly showing her block. I still have the block. It's my treasure.
