when do you say, OK not perfect and move on

I went to NJ Quilt Fest with my DH, and there was a huge display of Kaffe Fasset (I think that's the spelling) quilts, and DH said to me, "look, those points aren't perfect either" and DH made me take a picture of it. DH printed it, and put it on the wall by my sewing desk, and told me to look at it every time I felt like my stuff isn't good enough.

Liz at Fons and Porter says, after you rip out three time and you still are not happy, throw away and start over because the block is stretched and is not going to work. Yesterday I sewed right side to wrong side, ripped out and sewing again and did the same thing again. Ripped out and sewed the whole thing again with no thread in the bobbin. I am a newbie, only been sewing 50 years. LOL Happy Quilting

Friends you give quilts never check out how it is sewn. They as a rule wonder how you put all those pieces together. And love receiving the gift. i have been quilting for a few years now and have for the first time seen how I nave improved where even I am happy with the result,Oh and by the way the squares are darling.
