does the color of the center of the desdren plate have a story like the log cabins? Red to represent the home,hearth,fire,warmth and I've heard yellow for the love and unity of the home. Just wondering. I like #1 and the last one the yellow. Really like the look of your fabric selection.

I think a solid center would be better, it wouldn't fight with the other fabrics so much.

I'd want the center to be something that is not in any of the other fabrics in that plate. It should coordinate but not duplicate. The plain yellow does that but so would other print fabrics in the same family.

I like the yellow, but I think only because it's a solid. Any solid would work beautifully

You could always "fussy cut" a design...flowers or whatever...each one could be different.
