    That does not qualify as an ugly quilt. I agree with the person who said "sew it all together... no sashing" - it has a very homey feeling. Sorry, Luv, you'll have to do better than that if you want it to qualify for the ugly quilt category.

    Maybe if you turned the blocks so that the darks were all on the inside ( none adjoining the outside edge) then sewed on a narrow dark border, then a bright red border, and then take another look at it...

    Its not ugly , just use a wide sashing, it would look different to you..great pattern ..

    I would put them together with no sashing. Would look more like a sting top or crazy quilt then. I love scrappy too.

    I don't think it's ugly! The blocks do need to be separated by a unifying sashing. I would go for dark blue. The contrast would be B E A U T I F U L

    This is a true scrap quilt. If find when your finished that you still dont like it donate to a good cause. There will always be someone in need who will love and appreciate your efforts.

    This is a very beautiful pattern. It does require a good balance of light and darks to bring out the pattern. Try changing one block and I am sure that it will please you more.
