I made Shadow Box last year and the pattern shows off beautiful fabrics because large pieces are used against a plain backgrounds. I am jealous...............

I think everyone responding here has the same problem as I do.......a fabric-o-holic!!! Those fabric vendors would be trembling with joy if we all went shopping at the same time :)

The Chinese lantern is a beautiful pattern & would let each of the fabrics shine and be noticeable. Just my opinion, but I think the Bento Box would only jumble them all together and would not show off the beauty of each fabric. Everyone has their own taste. I hope you can find a pattern that you love for these beautiful fabrics. Have fun.

Actually those two were my first choices - (Chinese and Bento box) - I have a couple of other projects ahead of these however, so am writing down those ideas and will start this fall on the project. I love the Montana Cartwheel/New York Beauty, but think that might be too busy. I have used one of the Indonesian batiks in another quilt and I have noticed it has a definite different "feel" to it than the other fabrics. It is much much softer - which made it difficult to cut and work with. Spray starch helped alittle bit - but it was a bit nerve wracking that it was so different from the other fabrics I was using.

Is there a quilt I can make that would do these justice?
These would make beautiful whole cloth quilts! Such a shame to cut them up! They could really shine if quilted whole, with maybe some framing..... I'm just itching to do this with some of my great big pattern chintz type fabrics.
