I am doing this quilt as BOM through www.beehivequilts.com
The first week in June I should recieve my third block.
She has a blog where we can post pictures or ask questions.
i picked this BOM because I loved the dresden plates in the corners and the center block. You will love the fabrics too. Chocolates, pinks and greens.

Guys/Gals, Keepsake Quilting is offering a charm pack called "Cocoa and Peppermint" right now. Looks like a lot o colors used in this beautiful quilt. I think you could mix the browns and pinks from the charm pack and them add your own green. Perhaps they offer fat quarters as well.?. Just a thought! S

I don't believe they are. If the blade in the pattern is pointed, use the length to the tip of the blade as a length measurement (it will include your seam allowance). Make note of this length measurement. (The sides and other end are to be cut according to the pattern.) Cut straight across at the length measurement. Fold in half lengthwise and stitch across the end. Then turn it to the right side and fold, making the middle of the blade into the pointed end.
When the blades are attached to each other, you will need to backstitch in order to secure the seam. Then when, quilting by machine or by hand, make sure your quarter circle covers at the "secured seam" area just mentioned. This method will allow the pointed part of the blade to be three dimensional and self lined.
I suggest you try this method with scrap fabric to work out any problems. And if any of this is not clear, I will try to explain again. S

Our LQS is offering it as a BOM but we can take as many months at a time as we want. I've done the first 2 blocks and will be picking up a couple more tomorrow. I found a site that has some corrections and tips on putting it together. http://www.sewnatural.net/TongaRhapsody.htm
The fabrics are beautiful and feel so nice to the touch.
