Any non-sewing items that you use for quilting?

I use pizza boxes to store future projects in, (directions, fabric) that way it is all together and I don't need to do the search and find. Use large and small office clips to keep strips for a project together. I label the clip and can work without thinking.

What a great idea. I'll have to get one. Since it's summertime they're everywhere and fairly cheap.

I use the comfort pads that you get when you have a mammogram.......they're nice dense foam with an adhesive side that goes on the mammo machine. I know - a little over the top but they use it for a few minutes and toss them away. I bring mine home.

Wow, a lot of us are very innovative! I use a lot of the things already posted, but something else that I do is jot down on a Post-It note what type/size of needle I have in the sewing machine. I stick it on the side of the machine, and when I'm finished sewing for the day, I put the note under the presser foot and pierce it with the needle. That way I'm not always guessing what needle is in the machine (and also not having to magnify those tiny letters and numbers to figure it out!).
