That is a really pretty block- I am guessing it involves templates or paper piecing? PP probably would be easier, I guess and faster. Just read your post that is just a few above mine- thanks, candlequilter, in advance, for offering to share the pp directions!

It looks a lot like this star here, only dfference is the length of the center star points.
