"Wonky Stars" is the quilt you're so concerned about? It's absolutely beautiful! Just deal with the few "loose" places re the advice here and be proud you've done this really lovely piece.

I agree--the joy of quilting is doing the best we can, but it is not thinking everything (anything) we do has to be done just like someone else might do it. You see all the stops and starts. The folks who use your quilt will never even notice them. Give yourself a break and just ENJOY the quilt. Happy Quilting! Grandma Rachel

No fray check will dry smooth. I have never had it dry hard or form a clump. I guess if you put a bunch on it it may, but I only put a small amount on it and it dries flat and smooth.

Try lifting the pressure foot just a tiny bit and stich in place for a few stiches---my Pfaff has a postion that keeps the tention but can lock the stiches---it is for free motion stiching works for me

Same for me with the small stitches. Now if I can just remember to change the length each time. ;-)

bring the bobbin thread to the top, do your stitching and then when you have time take all the threads and use a self-threading needle and work them back thru the top and batting...kinda like hand quilting but easier. They won't come out...
