Both are great but am more drawn to the bargello but I would do which ever is easiest to do.

I'd go with the bargello!!! I LOVE it!!!! Another thing to think about is which one would "thieves" be more likely to "steal." By thieves I'm talking about people who attend craft shows simply to steal the ideas of others and then make the item themselves! The log cabin runners are beautiful, but those would be much easier for the thieves to make. The bargello would take them much more time -- and thought, too -- so they might not be so inclined to steal it! Of course, all of this is just IMHO. :oops: :oops:
