I have a niece that is deaf, so when my little poodle went deaf I started using sign language for no, come and other one word commands. I was surprised that he responded so well to the sign language. there are sites on the internet (google ASL - american sign language, for help). enjoy your new puppy whatever you name him.

He looks like a Thor. I had a deaf American Eskimo and she was a wonderful dog. I got her attention by using light switches, turning off and on. We had a pair and the male took great care of her. Then he passed and unless you knew she was deaf, you would never have known. Bless you for taking on a challenge. Love does wonders for animals, too.

How about Handy Andy? You will need to train him with hand signals and he will be a handful! :) He's very cute.
