I don't know if the quilt design has a special name, I didn't purchase it completely like the preprinted tops that are available. The fan (or seashell) is a very traditional pattern from the North of England and I found it in one of my books. I had to redraw it to get the right size. The spirals are drawn freehand and the feathers are traditional also. I have only added some quilting lines here and there - so you see it's a combination old patterns and my own ideas! :)

No, I have no problems and I am very happy and thankful for that! I think the muscles in my hand are trained very well and they are strong enough!
