    Yes, I second this- it will make it a lot easier for you! Then you only have to sew straight lines, no "corners". Great job on your first project- I can see that your very first set of corners are lined up well, those can be tricky so good job! : ) btw, I've been quilting off and on for 15 years and I'm still a beginner, and expect that I always will be- there is always much, much more to learn when it comes to quilting! : )

    I did a quilt for my dh for father's day. I did about the same print and pattern, except my squares ,that you have solid color, I did a material that had types of dogs in words. It turned out fairly nice for a throw quilt.

    It is going to be great when you are finished. I am not the most proud of some of my finished products. BUT,I enjoy doing it and I am going to continue until I get it right. LOL
