Did you hand stitch around the edges of the plate? I have a dresden plate quilt all ready to go but I'm afraid of the hand stitching and I don't applique. Eeeeehhhhh

Frame it. Make a candle mat. Pillows.. Build a quilt around it

I did. I think what I did was a turned method? I ironed under 1/4 inch and then used the same stitch I do with my bindings to stitch it down. Not sure if this is right or not, but it looks nice. :lol: I enjoy having hand work items to do when I am watching TV. When you say its all ready, do yuo have all of the plates sewn together? And they just need to be set on the foundation?

If there was more time for me to complete them... and the style was different. I am more interested in either '30's prints or black/white/red prints than fall colors. Maybe the next time you have one I will be able to join in! :)
