I just stopped by our local Joannes, looking for thimbles and notions for my website. They had almost everything marked down 60 to 80 percent off. I think it is just this location in Kingston MA.. The manager said they would remain open until the 13th. It looked like there was still lots of fabric on hand.

Just thought I would share it for anyone looking to score a bargain.

That's too bad. Hope there is someplace else to get your sewing needs.

The Hancocks Fabrics near me closed a few years ago and I got some really great bargains.

ours in Logansport, IN just closed the 28th of July (we have another about 30 min away and it's still open.... Maybe they're downsizing some of the smaller stores since it's been bought out.

More than likely other stores will be closing - they were bought out last month by Leonard Greene & Partners. The announcement said it was a buy-out and there shouldn't be anything noticeable to the customers. In fact, they are supposed to expand, so we will see.

We have two that are about a half hour away from this location and they are staying open. I think this was a slow store for them and a giant movie theatre is going into the space.
