If you had to pick just one quilting book to keep, what would it be and why that book?

I'd pick "It's OK To Sit On My Quilt" by Mary Ellen Hopkins. That is the book that kick started my quilting.

I like the book Quick Quilts from your Scrap Bag. I have made about 5 quilts from that particular book. I love looking at the pages and and design will catch my attention and I will look at it for awhile and then one day it just hits me to start working on it.

I just cannot pick a favorite, in fact, QB and other online sites have taken the place of books. My favorite genre is scrap quilts.

Oh, I have no idea. I think I buy books just to set in the closet. I have soooooo many and can't choose just one.

I am a fairly new quilter....2 years...and I find that I don't need books. This board and the internet are really all I need....which is a shame, because I am the librarian for my quilting guild. I bring home 5 books a month to review, but I have yet to use any of them for my quilting. I must not be alone, because many of the books I review have not been checked out for 5 or ten years. Our library has probably 500 books, and maybe ten get checked out each month, not counting the five I check out and review. New books are added all the time, and they just sit. Sad, really....

...but it is so easy to find what I want on my computer, quicker too.

I could never pick one... I don't buy many, but I do have a long list on hold at the library. I love to see and read about all of the new styles, techniques, etc... :D:D:D
