Found it at Borders (at their going out of business sale) - The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt, Letters from 1920s farm wives and the 111 blocks they inspired. I haven't read the letters yet, but the quilt blocks look great! They are all traditional blocks, and ds and I were having fun browsing it and dreaming up quilts to make.

My book came with a CD that has all the templates to print off :) I haven't looked at it yet, but I started reading the letters, and LOVE them! Such simpler, less stressful times. Oh I know, in a lot of ways they were much more difficult, but it was different.

It appears that all the women that sent in letters had wonderful farm lives that they really enjoyed and were sort of removed from what was going on during those times because of their lifestyle on a farm....and being blessed with a good husband from what they wrote!

nightengale, would you be interested in sending those full size templates to me in Kentucky? I want to work on this with my 84-year-old Mother who still quilts - by hand! And, that would save me so much time. Please let me know. You can email me at [email protected] please. Thank you!

I think there is a series of those books, if I'm thinking right.
