I still can't believe someone would give up their heritage for $2.00! Her grandma is turning in her grave! Yes, rescue any others, someone will always want them!

I would be glad to adopt and what a wonderful idea. If someone found a quilt to place for adoption it would be really nice if they were also able to get some history of the quilt to share.

I would love to adopt a quilt. The adoption certificate is a great idea. You could put the date and location you rescued it on the certificate!

I think that would be a very good idea. I'd probably adopt one (or more).

I will definitely watch out in the classified for these. I should do garage sales but never do. Now that I am retired, maybe I will!!

I have loved reading the stories on this thread. I hope no one burns my stuff or sends it to the dump!!

I think we should all keep a look out for quilts needing to be adopted and then post them when we find them. I'm going to stick to my under $10 price range just because I want more people on here to be able to afford one than if I bought one for $40 but that shouldn't stop anyone else for buying one over $10. I'm going to hit the thrift stores this afternoon, wish me luck! :D
