I use hobb heirloom scraps which is a 80/20. the 80 is the cotten then there is warm and natural with is all cotten. You want to use all cotten.

I also made a paper pattern. I iron the creases in the fabric to cented it......this was so fun. I now want to make some of those cute fabric boxes lol but I need to go do my other project...I just got sidetracked when I saw the micro mitten lol....

Please forgive me if the pic's are not perfect. This is my first time doing a tutorial.
First of all I would like to say It is a MUST that you use 100% Cotten batting.( I used warm and Natural).
There are three sizes you can cut your fabric squares in:
    1) !4" for round casserole dish
    2) 12" for a medium casserole dish or larger bowl
    3) 10"for a typical cereal bowl size.
Grab one of your bowls from the cupboard that you usually like to use for RE-HEATING and take it into your sewing room before you begin.
I am making mine in a 12" square because that is the size that seems to fit most of my bowls.

I would assume you would want to use 100% cotton thread along with the cotton fabric and cotton batting, like the potato bags - right?

The Warm Co. now carries batting specifically for potato bags. Not sure how it differs, but it would probably work well for these, too.
