"Quilting Gloves"-Are they worth it??

I use the Machingers and found them to be very helpful. Only problem is I have very long fingers and the M/L are a little tight in the thumb to index finger area. I need to check to see if they make an XL size!

I do not like the feel of gloves.

YES, but I got mine at the dollar store. They are the winter gloves with the traction dots for grip. Some members use gardening gloves because they are cooler to wear, but I like the warmth, and the traction. Huge difference in FMQ or SID.

I've tried several versions of garden gloves, Fons and Porter gloves, the rubber tips from the stationary store, and finally machingers which I like the best. I even tried a pair of kitchen rubber gloves. Hot!!!

I have the Fon's & Porter's that I have worn the fingers out of twice...so I went to the gardening section at the store and bought 2 - 3 pair for the same price as one pair of the other...haven't worn thru the first pair yet. =)

I think that the quilting gloves are well worth the price. I have the machingers brand. I like them because they are thin enough and flexible enough that I don't have to take them off every time I want to pick up something or do something other than guide my fabric through the machine.

I use my 3 pair for 4.00 home depot grip gloves, a bargain, a roofer friend of mine turned my Son onto them (uses them for cleaning fish or dressing game) he was excited about the price and the way they gripped slimmy fish, I tried one on fabric, worked great. His are blue and white, mine are pink and white.
