    I keep mine well hidden! I lost one pair and when they came back I found out they had been used on plastic, wood, metal, styrofoam, and concrete! No one dares touch them now but I keep them hidden anyway!

    Cutting wire, linoleum, metal (the old Fiskars with the grey handles can cut through a coin). I've had my old Fiskars since 2000 and they're still cutting after all this has been said and done.

    LOL!!!

    we used to do work on our car, a VW Rabbit diesel - had a shop manual and everything. Adjusting the valve clearance called for VW tool DF-4287 or some such thing - but we did it with a pair of scissors and a screwdriver. Not the good scissors though...

    Thankfully those days are over, I HATED working on cars.

    I buy lots of cheap scissors and have them in every room, so every one knows to not touch my Fiskars. Heads have rolled when they do try to use them. Now every one know to not touch the orange handles.

    [quote=KGoodhand]CUT HIS TOENAILS!!!! quote]

    I've seen this done with someone else's scissors, fortunately not mine! Then again, I had a great grandfather who would clean his ears with his house key too.

    My husband knows not to use my good scissors. He wouldn't find them in my sewing room. To secure the scissors purchase a combination lock used for luggage and no one would be able to use them without the combination.
