I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. You could use part of the front part of his shirts and make different sections for each shirt. The sections would include the front with the collar area. With this you could also include part of a tie, neck scarf, bandana, etc. If he was a man that wore suits you could also include some suit material as well.

The other sections of the shirts could be used to match a scrappy patchwork type quilt.

I hadn't gotten back into quilting when my father passed so I didn't think to try to save his old clothing for making a quilt in his memory.

Good luck with your quilting project. Please keep up posted and updated with your progress, with pictures if possible.

Hello, I cut up old shirts in strips and these are good for log cabins or scrappy quilts etc

BUT I also found a pillow cover made with a shirt that is awesome.
