I would never make enough quilts to justify the cost of purchasing one nor do I have room for one.

Don't have the time, room, or money for a longarm. If I did I might have one.

I have one, recently bought, and I realize I should have bought it long ago. I love the regulated stitch, the ease of movement, and not having to crawl on the floor to sandwich a quilt with pins and getting sore hands in the process. Most of all I like the quilt without tucks, pleats and bubbles in the back. Yes they are expensive and they take up space BUT the benefits are worth it and I can say I did the whole quilt

If I was 10 yrs younger I would be saving for one. At 64 I don't want to invest in something that costs that much money. If I had a longarm I would have to quilt for a business and not just for a hobby.

I would rather hand quilt than any other way and a long arm is not even an option.

I have to say "Hats Off To All The Professional Long Arm Quilters" what beautiful work they do. I have only seen the work that "Charismah" has done, since she post her work, and it's hard to beat. Her work is complementary and beautiful. Great for those that purchased Long Arm machines and have practiced, practiced, practiced, it can't be easy. Therefore, I also have no desire to purchase a machine. What's even worse, is I know of some gals that buy nice sewing machines, and never get it out of the box.
I will gladly pay the cost for a "Professional" to finish my project.

Not me. I really prefer hand quilting. My daughters don't think a quilt is a quilt unless it is hand quilted. I am lucky and live in the middle of an Amish community. So I live next door to some of the best quilters. Good neighbors who are always willing to barter quilting for something I can do for them, usually computer work.
