I just started finding white hairs At least I figure they are white both parents went white But I won't dye them no matter what color they turn out to be. I hate fussing with my hair -I have to brush it thats enough of a work out for me :)

If I dye my hair that means less money to purchase fabric for quilting. So I chose quilting.

Me too. Highlights worked and now the gray is my highlight. One of my DSL ask me why I am dying my hair so white. Boy did she feel stupid when she found out the "white" was natural.

I started turning grey when I was in high school. I had my hair frosted to many years and just decided to let it go. It is a light blonde grey and I have had it like this for at least 40 years. I am 66 and would not want to be keeping my grey roots up - take time away from quilting.

I started at 22, now 54. I have never dyed it. Luckily, it started as a witch's lock and is now a nice salt and pepper. I have been asked if I dye it that way.

My mother has dyed hers for years, but never worried about my hair. Hers came in at the temples first.

I am taking my new gray hairs kinda hard. I just don't feel old enough to have gray hair...

That being said, I don't think I want to start dyeing it.

BTW: just turned 36.

I started coloring my hair in my twenties when my husband remarked that people probably thought I was his mother. (He didn't get gray until 70.) I couldn't just get a beautiful natural silver streak like my brother -- go figure!! Now at 77 I'm beginning to think I should stop while I'm ahead. My brunette has progressed to more of a blonde but now the color (only use it about every 8-12 weeks) seems to irritate my scalp..........

Now that gave me a good chuckle. She reminds me of my own 10 year old granddaugher. It's something she might would say. She already has an idea of what she will accept when she is an adult and what she won't.

I have salt and pepper hair with a blend of pure white and silver combined. I love the color. Most folks I know are either just gray. Now I had an aunt who had pure white hair in her mid 30's on. It was so shiny and all. Now my mom, who was her sister, ended up with mostly gray hair mixed in with her dark brown hair. All of my sisters have gray hair. I'm the only one bless with salt and pepper hair.
