Very, very cute, I'm sure mom and baby will use it a long time. Great present.

There was no pattern. I am so sorry. I just made all of the parts and put it together. This was made with a moda Hello Betty jelly roll and a matching main fabric. I had left over strip ends from making the quilt and made the little center medalion, cut a embroidered square and ironed on steam a seam on it, I then used a satin stitch to apply the edges well. Sew on the outside borders to make it the size needed for a good sized bag. I cut the print fabric pieces for the back to that size and the inside main lining pieces, the sides,The handles and outside border of the front and back all the same..

The lining pieces got a heavy interface ironed on and the outside, side, and handle pieces got batting and were quilted. The sides are four inches way by the width of fabric. I quilted them and then pinned them to the main pieces and sewn on.

The inside pockets were applied like a bow tuck after quiting it. Then the handles and tabs were quilted too. The handles were placed into the tabs and the tabs pinned to the spot on the bag where they needed to be attached and basted on. Matching to each side. About three inches from the outside edges fromt he inside edges.

After all that, you sew around the lining pinned pieces and middle sides to the middle spot leaving about five inches unsewn. (this is for turning) Sew the outside main bag side together to the four inch side pieces from top to bottom to last side. You clip the edges at the corners of the side pieces (not the main piece) to made it turn the corners. Be careful not to clip in too far.

Sew the two finished pieces together right sides together and matching the seams at the top edge. Turn though the hole in the bottom of the lining. Press at the top edge and sew a seam about 3/8th inch from the top.
There it is ... A baby diaper bag!

I am not good at explaining this so if you have any questions... Let me know. I will try to explain further. OK?

Come to think about it. This is made pretty much like a Bow Tuck Tote bag, using my own dimentions. Which is sold at a quilting stores. There is a larger one and a smaller version of the bow tuck. This would be the larger one.
