These are the 'nicest' skulls I've ever seen! I love the heart-shaped eye sockets! (I find it far less creepy than some I've seen!)

I figured out the pattern myself. The rectangles are 8 x 16 inches finished. The rectangles with the borders are 3 x 12 inches finished and the borders are all 2 inches finished. I mixed it up by making some strip rectangles. I just thought it added a little more to it.

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words. I realize skulls are not something everyone is in to. But I like making things with a specific interest for the special someone it is going to. To me it's alot more personal and they may get more use out of it if they really like it.

Skulls would not have been my first choice in fabric, but if it's what she wants!! Those pink fabrics are so beautiful. She will love it.

What is it with kids and skulls? The fabric has such pretty colors, I suppose it doesn't matter what the print is. You did a marvelous job.

You made a gorgeous quilt despite the strange request. (Maybe not too strange considering it came from a 12-year-old.) Now I wonder what the other nieces will ask for...
