Blue, it is spectacular! The colors are just so amazing together. How long did it take to cut all your HST's? Ooooh, I can't wait to see it all together. Do you know what backing you'll use?

I love the colors you chose. I would also love to have the pattern if no diamonds. Thank you.

If it's like her other one, she did it on EQ6 - no pattern.

I love Lone Star's but matching all the points is beyond what I want to attempt and stay sane.

You've done a beautiful job on your work and fabric choices. Can't wait to see more.

It actually wasn't as long as I thought. We got a couple of dvds out the other night so I dragged my cutting mat and the fabric out to the lounge and cut while watching tv.

But the trick is, I didn't cut hst, I cut squares. Then I drew a line from corner to corner and put the pairs together, and yesterday sewed either side of the line then cut them in half. It makes for perfect hst's, no stretched bias! So it took two movies to cut everything, mark the lines, and pair up the hsts. I had previously counted and written down how many combinations of each colour I would need.

It's also apparently a Broken Star, not a Lone Star. Oops! Sorry for putting you all crook! :-)

Love it!!!! You chose the perfect fabrics/color combinations!!!! I can't wait to see more...please keep posting as you go along... 8) 8) 8)

As to the finish...I say go bold...with this pattern, your fabrics and love of color...you could get away with almost ANYTHING on the borders  8) 8)

As to the pattern name...Lone Star...Broken Star....maybe the "Looney Star" by the time you are done!!!
    I would buy a pattern of this quilt from you in a heartbeat :D 8) 8) :D
