We were wheat farmers and when the price of wheat goes up, the price of bread, etc, goes up. When the bottom drops out of the price of wheat, the price of bread stays up. Don't want to be a pessimist, but I've seen too much manipulation of the commodities to get too excited. The 'big boys' can keep the prices where they want them. And I'm not talking about farmers or the laborers who produce the retail product.

Supply and demand, supply and demand. When we had the gas shortage, they made smaller cars with better gas mileage. If we let our buying decisions dictate how fat their pocketbook gets, there will be a change. I'm not buying a new car. I'm getting my old one painted.

Price follows demand. We need to use our stashes while the price is high so they will have a surplus of fabric and will have to lower the price.

Like the price of gas.
Doubt we will see a drop in price.

Prices always seem to go up...but rarely will they turn around.
The price of the raw material might go down, but if the mill workers here in the US) are unionionized, the costs might probably have to remain the same to cover their contracted wages and benefits. Then there's the increase in taxes that the current administration wants to impose. We can't win for losing it seems.

Now if the fab stores would lower their prices I'd be a happy camper. Batting is way to expensive

I hope the retailer will drop the price as well. This never seems to happen with food prices does it?
