Completed Puzzle
#43
This idea is similar to something a small group I belong to in my quilt guild, did last year. Ours was called "The River" project. Each person that participated received an 18" wide section of pattern with a specified width of river coming in on the left edge and going out on the right edge. They could do anything with that section of river, in any method, depicting any season, realistic, abstract, etc. They just had to have their section of river follow the pattern exactly. When finished all are attached to solid black fabric and hung so each section butts right up to it's neighbor. Some sections are 2 - 3' long, others 18" long and everything in between. This creates a piece that's about 30' long. It was displayed at the 2011 MN Quilt Show in June and will again be on display at our Quilt Guild's Show in Oct. at the Haehn Center, College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN on Oct. 15 &16.
