    Good job. This is a pattern by McKee. She called it whirlwind. This is yet another example of old blocks getting new names.

    I agree. Old blocks should keep their old names. When I got the pattern off the internet tho, it is by Buggy Barns and is originally named "Iced Mocha".

    Many blocks, however, have many traditional names. Virginia reel, Snail's Trail, Monkey Wrench are all traditional names for the same block. One of the ways that companies market patterns involves making a setting for a traditional block, naming it and copyrighting it. If we did not have this, there would be little published about quilting.
