Gorgeous. I love the block with the fish all facing each other. You did a great job. Although I don't think I could have brought myself to cut on that fabric. It was beautiful.

my gosh, awesome, I love the fish. Is this a book pattern or what. I have heard of one block wonders but didn't know what it was really.

It's a method. There are three books by Maxine Rosenthal explaining her method, all are excellent and easy to follow.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...+block+wonders

The first one on the list explains how to construct hexagons and octagons;
the second goes further and includes the hollow cube variations, border ideas etc;
the third has interlocking cubes, other 3D dimensional ideas etc.

There is also a dedicated section to kaleidoscope, stack and whack and One Block Wonders quilts, with many examples of those quilts completed by people on the Board

The Topic Lists section heading gives info on the different methods, scroll down to One Block Wonders

http://www.quiltingboard.com/virtual_section_list.jsp

And this is the actual section with posts
