there's an investment commercial where a baby is in the crib, saying he hid the laptop under his blanket...

everytime it comes on, i say "it's a quilt" youngest dd told me the other day...."ma, let it rest"

I agree. Anything that keeps them warm and happy can be called anything they want. I have more important things to think about. Have a great day

So - no, in the context of Project Linus, it does not bother me that a quilt is referred to as a blanket.

Project Linus calls all the coverings they receive "blankets" in reference to the Peanuts' character Linus who carried a blanket. I do believe all the blankets in the beginning were made of fleece.

I think, if you are making the item out of love from your heart, it really doesn't matter what someone else calls it. If you are making the item because you want people to praise you for it, then you aren't really doing it for charity and of course you will be annoyed.

It doesn't bother me. My DH refers to my quilt retreats as blanket parties (lovingly). lol.
