Wowee- 43 pages later...
My occupation and not by choice but by necessity has been a FT Domestic Goddess, wife of 37 yrs., and mother of 2 adult kids and FT student.
During those years I have worked as a store detective picking up shoplifters; store clerk; security officer in a museum; security officer for the county government and county schools; went to college for 1 semester and had to quit due to family issues; served subpoenas; went through police academy and was certified as police officer (could not get hired as they said I was too old at 38, bunk); property manager for a large storage facility; professional pooper scooper turned animal shelter manager, and now after putting off what I alway's wanted to become years ago, I will graduate in Dec. with a certificate in Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting. It is my intention to work in a Hospice setting/with Veterans/ or a physicians clinic. It has been a long road indeed for this late bloomer of 56. Retirement is wayyyyyyyy down the road.

Thank you to all that have answered this post and the same to the ones yet to come. This has been great. I am always curious about what people do.
A few asked about my job as an fraud investigator. I work for the Canadian Government in one of their programs. Job is very busy, but like most jobs it can become boring. It makes you shake your head about some of the people in this world.
I have done a lot of bookkeeping and finance in my earlier career.
If I could do it all over again I would have been an accountant.
The good news is I only have 12 days of work left and then I am RETIRED! Then who knows what will happen ..... first we will be snowbirds for the winter.
