    I did the same thing to my cutting table, which is also a folding table. It really makes a difference in how my back feels. I can cut for a long time now and not have that achy feeling. Thanks for sharing.

    very good idea! i have an eat-at island, all the same standard kitchen counter height. this is where i'm most comfortable doing my cutting.

    You can also use plastic "freebie" cups turned upside down for a quick fix. Had my husband "build" blocks for my table years ago. He just glued pieces of 2x4's together until he got the height right. Really saves the back.

    my table has been on risers for years!! good idea, then you dont hurt your back as much bending!!

    Where can you purchase red risers? I know you were lucky to find them at a Thrift Store.
