Perhaps if you get one project out and set your machine up and set a timer to work just 15 or 20 minutes to challenge yourself to se just how much you can get done in that short time, you may find yourself getting somthing done. Then, do that again with the timer the next day. Keep us posted. You can do it!

Part of my problem is that I have no confidence that I can do the job. I am pretty new to quilting and the person that started me doing this is now out of the picture. I have a hard time following the directions and so am hesitant to start. I am sure that this is not the case with you. ALSO..I am such a dreamer. I see pretty things in shows or shops, but the kit (I am terrible putting colors together.) get it home and there it sits.....Maybe tomorrow Scarlet...HA

I too get all excited about making something for someone and then I think "will they like it or will it be good enough?" I have no self-confidence.

I have started using coconut oil, which has been shown to have a beneficial effect on Alzheimer's patients and I am noticing a difference. I can stay on task better (still not great) and I definitely have more energy. DH even commented that I am more active since I started this. I had been feeling overwhelmed with "stuff" and am getting rid of a lot of it. Also, actually started granddaughters quilt within the last week. I am praying that I can get it finished before Christmas. Just wanted you to know that you are not the only one. If you are of menopausal age it could be related. Ann in TN
Thank you for your input but I am way past that. I'm 71 so can't blame it on menopause. I have to hurry up and get started on my Halloween door hanger before it's to late

When I can't figure out what to do (having too many projects) I usually clean my sewing room.

Ya know I was kind of like that too, a lot like that actually until I started a small sewing group that meets at my house one day a week and we sew from 9:am till 5:pm. We do it every week because I read sewing groups don't last very well when they meet only once a month. I started this group to teach two older gals how to sew who had always wanted to but never did for one reason or the other. I find while I am teaching I can work on my ufo's and I am finally getting a few things finished. The group is so much fun and I can't believe how much I look forward to it every week. Maybe you could join a local group? or start one yourself?
