Well, Christmas commercials have already started and Halloween is not even behind us, so guess the family could get their Christmas presents at Thanksgiving so they could enjoy them when they put up their trees. Or they can have the anticipation for Christmas 2012. Guess it's up to the giver of the creations to decide.

I may be doing handwork if the snowstorm comes as they say it will. We are expecting 8 to 12 inches in Downeast Maine of heavy wet snow with 25 to 35 mph winds. We might lose power.
I have plenty of oil lamps and knitting & redwork to do. I went to the store and got all that we needed. Also got food for the wildlife and went to the dump with garbage and boxes.
I am all set except this afternoon I will make eggplant parm. so that I have food ready to just heat up on top of the stove in case we lose power. Stovetop is propane so we will be ok with that.

I am organizing my sewing room - won't be able to get anything done until this project is completed and it could take a while.

I am finishing a quilt in the machine. Will install another and try to get it finished. I am having overnight company and I want to start a quilt for my sister's new foster child. Want to get it finished by Friday the 4th. I hope I can stay on track. There are a lot of leaves to chase right now and that takes away from sewing time. Of course, I could cut down on my naps and sleeping time to get it all done. Do any of you do that?

I just took DH's elf-pants and tie out of the yellow die bath. Then the jacket will go into the green. It's polyester so it's risky but what the hey - it's a $3 find from Goodwill. I still have to tackle his hat (never worked with felt before) and cut a long-sleeved shirt down to look like a vest. The Ernie the Keebler Elf will have his Halloween costume.
