I work for a grocery store, and I was informed that the price is going to double. so stock up on it now if you bake peanut butter cookies for the holidays.

Plan ahead now.

Oh, never thought about that. Peanut butter cookies and peanut butter bon bons are on my have to make list for Christmas. I'd better hit Costco and see if they have any of the big jars.

holy cows...that would keep me from buying it...yikes..

we have NO SAMS near here, so at the commissary I noticed that the prices have not yet gone up. A large jar of Peter Pan was still $4.00. I bought DH 3 of them..might be his Christmas present!

We use peanut butter daily in oatmeal. Also in sandwiches, a treat for the dog, and in mouse traps. Must. Have. Peanut butter!

That said, seems like everything is going up. Our grocery budget buys less and less every week.

tell me...in the last two years, one child moved on, one is rarely home to eat, and I had WLS, so our food consumption is about 2/3's of what it was 2 years ago. We also do not buy soda, chips, crap...so that should have helped the bill..BUT no....our bill is nearly the same as it was two years ago!

Our economy has been in a mess for about 5 years now and it will get worst before it gets better.

I was talking with hubby just yesterday about prices of everything including food. I can remember 2 years ago buy groceries for us and it costing me about $150 and today for the same stuff it runs closer to $350 a 200% plus increase from two years ago.
