Use the points to match up your next row of triangle pieces - like you show in the photo.

Clip those points that are the "inside seam" which doesn't match to anything to reduce seam bulk. For the seams that match to the strips, I would probably just clip them off to reduce bulk.

Currently I'm taking a Stack and Whack class which urges you to keep the points on to match up the seams more easily, and to clip the points on the seams that will not need to be matched.

Good luck!

I don't think it's ugly, I have seen a LOT worse. And no, I don't bother to trim off the little triangles.

Same for me. The guide on my foot catches if I don't trim them off first.

I clip them off, it is less bulk when I am quilting. Sometimes the bulk makes the machine wobble there.

I think it is personal choice. BTW, these fabrics are NOT ugly. Harley lovers will be enamored with this. Very nice beginning. Thank you for sharing.

I cut them off. Less bulk and can cause distortion of the next seam.

I ended up taking apart my quilt except the traingles strips...I just did not like the looks of it. Once the power goes back on I will iron and start it again...

I'm liking the quilt. My daughter has made a couple of Harley quilts using the same colors. I read somewhere that longarmers like the tips and points cut off, easier on them. I'm not a longarmer so really don't know.
