I try to get something I don't like. Found out the hard way that there's very little I DON'T like...had to go get more for my 3 special little charmers next door.

We always buy a giant bag of candy at BJ's. We seldom get any trick or treaters. Enough said.

In PA where I grew up we used to get monies, like pennies, dimes if we were good. Good meant we had to go inside the house and perform, sing, dance or say a poem. Sometimes fruit or candies even homemade cake and cookies. Life was easier then people did not do bad things to little ones. We counted our monies and sometimes end up with about 1.00.
These were happy days.
