the blocks with the little 4 patches in it is called Thrifty Block
the one with the straight pieces & geese is called Flying Geese Log Cabin
The one with the star center is called Castle Corners but this is the one I altered, instead of cutting little purple blocks around the outer edge I just cut them as a single pieces
and the last block which is used in the border corners is a 9 patch
As far as the center block which is 2 feet by 2 feet, I just sewed pieces to the corners to match up with the other blocks

This quilt would not have come out as well as it did if not for the few people that did ask the little questions that made me stop and go look at what they were talking about. I'm so very glad they did stop me because now I think it came out just like it should have and really a lot better then my original plan. What more could I ask for.
This is one of the best reasons I LOVE this board, we do help each other and we don't get our feeling hurt in the process because we correct each other in very constructive ways.

Oh goodie!! I'm a Minnesota native and when I first saw this quilt, I wondered why the green, but didn't want to say anything negative. I'm so glad you omitted it. Now it is a true Vikings quilt. And even though they are not doing so hot this year, they are still "MY" Vikings!!
