Beautiful quilt, but to me applique is a bad word. If I'm going to do hand stitching it will be cross stitch.

Oh, wow! You are sure ambitious. I don't have the courage to try this. Be sure to keep up posted so we can enjoy this with you.

I did this quilt but not with applique, you may not believe this but I colored it with crayons and it turned out pretty. It is not exact but almost. The applique quilt is much prettier.

I'm afraid this is something that should be started by a teenager so she can finish it when she's my age.

its georgeous!!! I may have tackled it at one time but with my eyesight now I couldn't do it justice. Besides I don't think I will live long enough to finish it. lol

I have had the book for years and have gotten it out several times and looked at it but decided it was just too overwhelming.
Our Hill Country Guild had our biennial quilt show this year and that quilt took everything! Blue in hand applique hand quilted, viewer's choice and Best of Show.
It was magnificent! The lady who made it said it took her 10 years!!!

YES!! I have been working on this one for a few years, off and on. I have all 40 blocks finished, and the triangles on the side and top. Now, just the borders are left. I can't wait until I get this one done....oh, yes, my background is black instead of cream.
Oh, your MY kinda girl with the black background! Bet it is fabulous! I'll be watching for your pics.

Wow, a beautiful quilt, but I can't imagine the hours of work. Good luck, love to see yours when done.
