It used to, but lately..not so much...I hope it'll come back as I do like doing it and have tons of fabric to make things with, but I feel as if I'm in the "stock pile" mode..

Quilting is also my happy place and therapy. A way to unwind!!! A place I run to as much as possible and never want to leave.

I agree Memepat. Sitting and working at my sewing machine is like being in my own space with the world far away and out of mind

I get happy just thinking about quilting. Planning something in my mind or thinking of the project I am working on, etc.

This may sound sort of strange but there used to be a Tall Mouse a couple miles from my house and it was one of my favorite places to buy fabric and supplies. They were mostly a craft store but had a small sewing section. They have since closed but every time I pass by that area I still get happy. I guess it's happy memories....

certainly makes me happy and keeps me sane...much like buying fabric does...lol
We spent far too much over the weekend on fabrics but everything we bought was on sale and the threads we got....yum

I never thought about it but I agree, quilting is happy place to be. Just wish I had time to visit the happy place more often.

I love quilting because I can put a bunch of effort into doing something and there is a forever reminder of an accomplishment. Unlike laundry, cleaning, etc. where there is always more the minute I think I am done and I get overwhelmed by the unendingness of not accomplishing anything. I read before I go to bed so I put the stress of the day out of my mind, and I also enjoy scrapbooking that brings back memories of a good time. However, my room is currently set up for quilting and when I get that caught up, will switch to scrapbooks. But by then my baby will be in college so I can just use his room for one and switch back and forth--LOL
