Default Four Patch from Jelly Roll

I'm having a senior moment here. Do I need to cut my Jelly Roll fabrics into 2 1/2 inch squares before I make my 4 patches or is there a quicker way?

strip piecing. Sew a dark to a light strip press to the dark side, and sub cut them to 2 1/2". I prefer this way to individual squares. Then sew the twosies together for the 4 patch.

This is how I do it. It goes together really fast.

I'm a new quilter and I love the precut fabric's. Jelly rolls are one of my favorites!

Can you show me? I read what you say but, all I can see in my mind is all these strips. I am a little slow and still learning. Visual helps me a great deal.
    Thanks,
    JOY

Sew two strips together. Cut into "twos." Sew two of these together into a four patch.

Yep...strip piece them....just make sure to divide the jellyroll into lights and darks and pair those. Dont do two lights or two darks.
