I was born and raised in Memphis. Two of my kids were born there and 1 of them still lives there. No plans to move back to that area but it is fun to visit the state. Never saw Eastern TN until a few years ago and I love it too.

This is an older post, but wanted to add my 2 cents. I am from Knoxville. A Yankee until we moved here 31 years ago. I love it here. Best quilt shop around West Knoxville is Mamaw's Thimble on Papermill Road. Nice people, lots of fabric.

Hi, I live in Greenbrier, TN (just north of Nashville). Lived in Nashville 40+ years but retired to the country! Shopping for me is a trip to Quilters Attic in Goodlettsville. Very nice shop.

I've been a member of QP for almost three years. I have posted rarely, if at all. But I can't miss posting on this one. I have loved seeing all the TN quilters listed here and wonder if I know a few of you. I am originally from Knoxville, but have lived in Lenoir City, Farragut, Greeneville, Chuckey, Maryville, Fountain City, East Knox, Pigeon Forge, most recently Baileyton...and probably some other places, too. Used to work at X10 in Oak Ridge as a secretary. I am a fulltime RVer, currently workamping in Brunswick, GA, which doesn't seem to have any quilters, much less quilt groups. There is one LQS that I have been to a couple of times, but found them to be very unfriendly. Maybe it was just me. We are supposed to get a JoAnns in the near future and I am looking forward to that. I tend to stay longer term than most in campgrounds, but seem to stay in TN, SE GA, and NE FL most of the time. So, not only am I a proud Volunteer, I guess I have just introduced myself to the Board! I have learned much here and look forward to learning more...it's a great group! Go Vols! Lynda in tn/GA/fl
