Default I'll jump in but....

I, too only do raw edge appliqué for now. I certainly consider it appliqué as I spend many an hour doing it. As soon
As I get my teapot appliquéd quilt done, I'll forward a pic. It's gorgeous. I found the pattern at The Cherry Pit quilt shop in Sevierville, Tn while on vacation.

I love to hand applique and finished 20 blocks for a Baltimore Album quilt altho never have decided how to put them together. Considering my 80th coming up I need to find the blocks and get with it. I suggest all you ladies really interested in the fine art of hand applique get one of the books put out by Ellie Schen.... While I do not know how to spell her name it will come up in Amazon. This woman does the most beautiful work imaginable. There are good ones out there but none compares to her. She even has a retreat once a year way up north that I always thought I would get to but never did. It would have been heaven for me.

yes yes I would love to be part of that. I love doing applique. I just tried to do hand turned method. I rather do raw edge method via machined blanket stitches.

I've used them. Not crazy about them but in another 10 years will be great when I can't see that tiny hole in the end of the needle. :-)

How wonderful! I'd love to see how you're doing with this one!

I'm receiving the Baltimore Christmas kits of the month by the same designer, Pearl Pereira - I was completely intimidated just opening the packages and looking at the small size of some of the pieces!

But, that Halloween quilt is absolutely adorable and I wish I had signed up for that one, too - just in case my skills ever catch up with my ambition. When two of my other BOM's are done, I just might try to find the Baltimore Halloween still open somewhere.
