Good for you. No need for embarsement. I bet your son will be carrying that quilt around before you know it. When he gets here enjoy him. They grow up much to quickly.

Congratulations on finishing your first! You realize now that you will be making many more. Did you remember to make a label for the quilt! You can even number them!

beautiful quilt, and congrats ... I was just going to suggest the same as Shemjo, label your quilt for the future generations.

you are all so kind!!! I am totally hooked. Now I have to figure out how to do something other than stitch in the ditch on my machine. Something tells me that might take some serious practice!!! My real goals are to cut straighter and keep my seam allowances a little more at 1/4 inch...

Good for you! Isn't it fun? I am glad you got it done before the baby comes as you may not have the time after he is here.
Congratulations!

A first quilt is a real masterpiece!

It represents jumping out into deep water and daring to try something new. Why are we so hard on ourselves? You will look back on this quilt and be able to remember the love you had in preparing for your baby and the joy you felt at accomplishing something new.

Simple is best when it comes to kids! Wait and see if it doesn't end up as part of his/her collage quilt that goes off to university someday.
