I think it is a lovely quilt. I also think you are being too hard on yourself. Make sure that you are not steaming your fabric when you are pressing it as this will distort the fabric. I also use spray starch which seems to help with the bias edges.

I think it's a very pretty quilt! (I do have the pattern, but haven't had the time to tackle it yet...don't know which of the Bali Pops to try!) don't be so hard on yourself!
