Okay here is some of my pictures for Part 1 - after the pictures were taken I started cutting and sewing more. Got about 30 hour glass units done so far. Also included pictures of all my black fabrics and like half of my neutrals. Enjoy

Jan in FL-thanks for the extra info from Bonnie answering questions. Helps so much to know this info about color placement. Now to decide which colors I want where?!?!?! It is a bit harder since the quilt is a mystery.
    Happy thanksgiving all!!

Mackandblues, you have beautiful fabrics! All my blacks are colorful, so I'm thinking it probably wont stand out as much as it should, but in a scrappy quilt I guess it won't matter too terrible much. This is definitely a good way for me to find out if I like scrappy quilts, huh since I've never done either a mystery or a scrappy lol.

I can definitely wait patiently for part 2 now. Picture also gives a sneak peek at my colors.

Beautiful colors and your triangles look so perfect!

OK, I am late getting started but have begun my QSTs and they are looking pretty good. I have attached a pic of my progress, I work in batches so they are at all stages in the process. This is about half of what I need to make. My colors for these are golds and a constant neutral cream color. My other colors will be green for the string blocks and red for the accent. Hope it doesn't end up looking too Christmas-y.
